Welcome to the Dolinky ski resort

The Žiar Dolinky ski resort lies at the foot of the southern slopes of the Western Tatras, 10 km from Liptovský Mikuláš, at the far end of the village of Žiar.

The resort is suitable for beginners as well as intermediate skiers. It has 2 ski lifts with two slopes, one of which has artificial snowmaking. The slopes are 0.65 km long. The slopes are groomed every day with a Kässbohrer PB Polar snow groomer.

Ski school

We offer quality ski lessons for children and adults, led by certified instructors.

We teach beginners their first steps on skis, the snowplough and how to ride the lift, while advanced skiers can refine their technique from skidded to carved turns. The youngest skiers have a kids' zone with a rope tow and modern teaching aids.

Lessons are also available in English, German, Russian, Polish and Czech, and you can ski with us in the evening too.

Accommodation right by the slope

Accommodation

Accommodation is available right in the ski area: 2 chalets sleep 20 people, one owned by the TJ sports club and the other by the municipality. A snack bar serving hot and cold food and drinks is open throughout the season. The area has modern public toilets and washrooms.
